Nic's pick of the month: Grow Your Own Christmas Dinner
Turks Turban is shaped rather like a cottage loaf. They have hard, multi-coloured skins with shades of orange, green, yellow and white. Despite being highly ornamental and often used for harvest decorations, they are very good to eat and are perfect for stuffing and cooking whole as an individual portion. Matures from early through to mid autumn. They have a sweet and nutty flavour. Stores well if kept in a warm and dry place, for up to 5 months.
